Alberto "Tico" Lopez Valdez , 70, entered rest on March 13, 2024 in Pearsall, Tx. He was born on March 17, 1953 in Pearsall to Teodora Lopez Valdez and Macario Valdez. He is preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; brother in law, Artemio Perez; uncles Santiago Lopez and Lino Lopez.

Alberto "Tico" Valdez, beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on March 13th, 2024 in his hometown of Pearsall. He was born on March 17th, 1953 and spent his entire life dedicated to hard work and selflessness.

Tico was a man of unwavering dedication and love for his family. He worked tirelessly in the oil fields as a truck driver for most of his life to provide for those he held dear. His passion for fishing not only brought him joy but also served as a bonding activity that united the entire family. The memories made during these fishing trips will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of joining him.

His talent extended beyond the oil fields; Tico's love for music was evident through his skillful guitar playing and soulful singing. His melodious tunes were often heard echoing through their home or at gatherings with friends and loved ones.

A devout man of faith, Tico found solace in God's word and scripture throughout his life. His unwavering belief inspired those around him to seek comfort in times of need.

Known affectionately as Grandpa Tico by all the neighborhood children, he embraced this role with open arms and an abundance of love. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart; he adored them endlessly and took great pleasure in sharing countless adventures with them.

One could never forget Connor - Tico's loyal companion who stood faithfully by his side through every endeavor. Wherever Tico went, Connor followed closely behind; their bond was unbreakable.

Tico possessed an unparalleled kindness that knew no bounds - if anyone needed assistance or support, he would always find a way to help without hesitation or reservation.

He leaves behind a legacy filled with compassion, generosity, laughter-filled moments shared among loved ones while casting lines into serene waters under vast skies - each memory etched deeply within our hearts forevermore.

The loss of Alberto "Tico" Valdez is deeply felt by all who had the honor of knowing him - may we find solace in remembering the warmth of his smile, the melody of his songs filling our ears once more when we cast our lines out onto calm waters.

He is survived by his children, Albert Valdez Jr. (Yovonka) of Pearsall, Valerie Hernandez (Rafael) of Houston, Nathan Valle Sr. (Darlene) of New Braunfels and Alyson Perez (Phillip) of Pearsall; siblings, Mary Perez of Pearsall and Rudy Valdez (Rebecca) of Devine. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Nathan Valle Sr., Daniel Holt, Nathan Valdez, Rafael Hernandez, Robert Longoria Jr., Marcos Salazar, Ramiro Otero and John Fuente.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a prayer service at 7pm.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at The Shepherds Flock Christian Church @ 10am. Interment will follow to the Catholic Cemetery.
