Alejandro V. Martinez, 62 of Dilley, entered rest on December 29, 2017. He was born on May 21, 1955 in Dilley to Valentin Martinez and Juana Vargas Martinez. He is preceded in death by his father and brothers, Julian Martinez and Pedro Martinez; brother in law, John Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife, Leonilda Alvarez Martinez of Dilley; children, Alejandro Martinez Jr., Audrey Sauseda and husband Vince and Andrea Martinez and boyfriend Geronimo Castor; mother, Juana V. Martinez; brothers and sisters, Estevan Martinez and wife Ermidia, Guadalupe M. Garcia and husband Fernando, Reyna Rogers, Janie Rodriguez and husband Rene, Margarita Rodriguez, Valentin Martinez Jr., and wife Martha, Dominga Hernandez and husband Jeff and Maria Ester Salinas and husband Eusebio and Roger Lee Norris. He is also survived by his grandchildren, ALeyana Fontanez, Alexa Sanchez, Vince Sauseda Jr., Kataleya Stroud, Valentin Sauseda and Kiaya Sauseda as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include, Alejandro Martinez Jr., Adrian Martinez, Freddy Martinez, Noe Garcia, Oscar Rodriguez, Prajie Martinez, Manuel Del Leon and Romeo Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers include, City of Dilley workers, Knights of Columbus Members, Jerikka Salinas and Edwardo Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel-Dilley from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Services will conclude at the church.
