Alfonso A. Ortiz

Alfonso A. Ortiz, 81 of Dilley, entered rest on July 26, 2021 in San Antonio. He was born on September 17, 1939, in Dilley, Texas to Willie Ortiz and Juanita Ruiz Ortiz. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Kenneth Daniel Ortiz, brother Leonides Noel Ortiz and sister Griselda Ida Sambrano.

He is survived by his Children, Kristine Denise Granger (Albert) of San Antonio, Karl Dwayne Ortiz of San Antonio and Mary Ann Floyd of New Castle, Indiana, brothers; Roberto Ortiz, Gilberto Ortiz, Ramon Ortiz and Raul Ortiz, sisters; Sylvia Jaco, Maria Ortiz and Yolanda Garcia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

To his family and friends he was known as "Poncho". He will be remembered for warm smiles and his dedication and love to his family.

Pallbearers, Albert Granger, Matthew Granger, Karl Ortiz, Antonio Ortiz, Gilberto Ortiz, Ramon Ortiz, Raul Ortiz and Leonides Ortiz Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 2, 2021, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel Dilley starting at 8am. Funeral mass will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
