Alicia E. Cuevas, born on February 24, 1950, in Pearsall, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a devoted and hardworking housekeeper for many years, known for her unwavering dedication to her work and her family.
Alicia held her family close to her heart and was a proud member of the Catholic Church, where her faith guided her daily life. She was actively involved in her community as part of Los Matachines and Cursillo, embodying the spirit of celebration and tradition that her culture cherished.
Alicia is survived by her beloved children, Adolfo E. Cuevas Jr. (Kimberly) and Cindy Cuevas. She was a loving grandmother to Andrew, Alyssa, and Joel, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also remembered by her siblings: Estella Esquivel, Alfredo Esquivel, Jose Esquivel (Renia), Feliz Aguilar (Placido), Mary Esquivel (Dago), Linda Parsons (Steve), Cano Esquivel Jr.(Wendy) and George Esquivel. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her warm spirit and kind heart.
Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Canuto Esquivel and Micaela Carrizales, and her siblings Raynaldo Esquivel, Juan Esquivel,Luise Esquivel,Gloria Esquivel and Paula Esquivel. Their memories will forever be a part of her legacy, reminding those who knew her of the love and compassion she fostered throughout her life.
As we reflect on the life of Alicia E. Cuevas, we remember a woman who embraced her family and faith with all her heart. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. The family would also like to pay gratitude to her caretakers, Juanita Gonzales, Inez Mata and Mona Gallegos. Also, Karen and Gwynn from Cardinal Hospice and Oak Park Nursing Staff.
