Artemio H. Perez

Artemio H. Perez, 63 of Pearsall, entered rest on July 28, 2019 in San Antonio. He was born on August 14, 1955 in Pearsall to Rafael Perez Sr. and Olga Hernandez Perez. He is preceded in death by his mother, Olga Perez; grandson, Drayton Holt and siblings, Norma Perez and Carlos (Charlie) Perez.

Artemio was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Family was a priority for him and he dedicated his life to providing for them. After many years working for a crop dusting company, he fulfilled his dream of starting his own business, T & J Builders. Due to his determination and savvy mind for business, T & J Builders grew into a successful venture. He had such an infectious smile and giggle, which were perfect companions to his witty personality. He wore this smile proudly when was surrounded by family, especially his grandkids. He had a heart of gold. Artemio will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary V. Perez of Pearsall; children, Christina Holt (Daniel) of Friendswood, Jason Perez of Pearsall; father, Rafael Perez Sr. of Pearsall; brothers, Rafael Perez Jr. of Laredo and Oscar Perez (Senaida) of Rosenberg; brother in laws, Albert Valdez Sr. and Rudy Valdez (Becky). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Haigen Holt, Henley Holt, Jaylene Perez, Jason Perez II, Jayden Perez and Jacob Perez as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include, Robert Maldonado, Ray Maldonado III, Ralph Perez III, David Perez, Daniel Holt, Danny Perez, Steven Valdez and Roy Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 5pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Pearsall Catholic Cemetery East.
