Belen Vinton Trevino, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in San Antonio at the age of 95. Born on July 12, 1929, in Pearsall to Eduardo and Paula Rangel Vinton, Belen lived a life rich with love and devotion that touched everyone around her.
Belen was preceded in death by her devoted husband Rojelio V. Trevino Sr., as well as her parents and siblings: Maria Robledo, Sulema Vinton, Carmen Frausto, Roberto Vinton, Eduardo Vinton, Marcos Vinton, Modesta Vinton, and Manuel Vinton. Her legacy lives on through her three children—Rojelio Jr. (Susan), Daniel (Elvira), and Sulema T. Avilla (Jaime)—who carry forward the values she instilled in them.
As a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren—Javier, Tomas, Michael Daniel ,Catherine, Roxanne, Amadeo, Jaime Jr., Ricardo Abel, Esperanza Victoria, Jose Rojelio, Guillermo “Billy”—and eleven great-grandchildren along with one great-great-grandchild.
A dedicated member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for many years and an active participant in the Guadalupana Society there as well as other community activities throughout Pearsall made Belen not just a parishioner but also an integral part of her church family. Known for her sweet demeanor and outgoing spirit—qualities that endeared her to all who met her—she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Professionally respected for many years as manager of the Cactus Bowl—a role where she showcased both leadership skills and warmth—Belen balanced work with raising a loving family while always finding time for friends old and new.
In celebrating Belen's extraordinary journey through life marked by faithfulness towards God & family alike—we honor not only what she accomplished but how deeply she loved us all unconditionally until the very end.
She leaves behind countless memories woven into our hearts—a testament that true love never dies but continues living vibrantly through every act inspired by its presence.
May we find comfort knowing she's reunited now among angels above watching over us all!
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Pearsall Catholic Cemetery Westside.
