Bernardo Sanchez Jr.

Bernardo Sanchez Jr., 76 of Pearsall, Texas, entered rest on August 2, 2022, in Lexington, Texas. He was born on October 10,1945 in Pearsall, Texas to Bernardo Sanchez Sr. and Adelina Sanchez. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Guadalupe Sanchez Ramirez and daughter Aixa Sanchez.

He is survived by his wife, Refugia Sanchez, of Lexington, sons, Danny (Joanna) Sanchez of Mesquite, Eric (Laura) of San Antonio, stepchildren Fernando (Christy) Gutierrez of Illinois, Miranda Saldana of Bryan, Herardo Gutierrez of Illinois, Connie (Roger) Hernandez of Pearsall, Ruth (Brad) Buckingham of Mississippi and Bartholome Gutierrez of Bryan. Grandchildren Isabella (Lake Jackson), Victoria (Denton), Sophia (Mesquite) Sanchez and Daric (San Antonio) Sanchez, 27 step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Sisters, Alicia Chacon of Kerrville and Irma (Robert) Leal of San Antonio and several nieces and nephews.

Bernardo worked as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to BBQ, fish, play volleyball, softball and go dancing. He is most remembered for his ability to joke around.

Memorial gravesite service will be held on Saturday August 27,2022 at 10:30am at the Catholic Cemetery (west side).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
