Carl Edward Poole

Carl Edward Poole, 66 of San Antonio, lost his battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2014. He was born on July 6, 1948 in Cambridge, Ohio to Harold Poole and Cynthia Batts. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ricky Poole.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Margarita Elizondo Poole. Children: Brad Poole and wife Lisa of Delaware, Nathan Poole and wife Yvonne of California, Peter De Los Santos and wife Carrie of San Antonio, Paul De los Santos and Monica Dellamar and husband Mike of Virginia. Sisters: Joyce, KC, Cyndi and Marianne. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Gaby, Dominic, Mandy, Ethan, Rachel and Karley.

Carl graduated from Key West High School in 1966 and enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served until his retirement in 1989 as a Master Sargent. Carl then worked for Santa Rosa Hospital until he retired in 2012. Carl enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. Nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his family. Carl loved the Lord and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in San Antonio.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a service at 7pm. Church services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Village Parkway Baptist Church in San Antonio at 12:30pm. Interment will follow with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
