Carmel "Pio" Guajardo Jr.

Carmel C. "Pio" Guajardo Jr., 48 of Dilley, passed away on February 4, 2014 in San Antonio. He was born on September 15, 1965 in Pearsall to Carmel Guajardo Sr., and Paula Carrizales Guajardo. He is preceded in death by mother-in-law; Luz Cantu, grandparents; Pablo and Ysieca Carrizales.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Degadina Cantu Guajardo, parents; Carmel and Paula Guajardo, children; Ruben "Spider" Gonzales and wife Mary Jo, Vicente Cantu and wife Tanya, Tanya Guajardo and husband Roger and Juanita Gonzales and husband Fonzy. Brother: Jesse Guajardo, sister; Becky Guajardo, father in law; Ruben Cantu. Grandchildren: Dakota San Miguel, Averyy Guajardo, Jacent Cantu, Jun Bug Cantu, Dezarae Davila, Jeffrey Maldonado, Destiny Soto, Mercedes Santos, Buddy Santos Ethan Santos, Rowan Fonseca, Megan Gonzales, Katelyn Gonzales and Cheech Gonzales.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th, 2014 at Trevino Royal Oaks Dilley Chapel from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral will be held on Friday, February 7th, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
