In Loving Memory of Charles Lee Henrichson
Charles Lee Henrichson, born and raised in Dilley, Texas, was a hardworking man who spent his career doing what he knew best — hauling bulls and livestock across the highways of America.
Being a bull hauler wasn’t just a job for Charles; it was a way of life. He spent countless hours behind the wheel, traveling many miles, working long days and nights, and taking pride in an honest day’s work. He was part of a special breed of truck drivers who understood the meaning of hard work, dedication, and responsibility.
Growing up in the small South Texas town of Dilley, Charles carried with him the values of hard work, determination, and a love for the open road. His roots were in South Texas, and those roots remained a part of who he was throughout his life.
Charles was a proud father to five children: Judy Gale Lambert, Kevin Lee Lambert (Brandi), Justin Corey Lambert (Chelsea), Bradley David Henrichson (Morgan), and Shaylyn Nicole Henrichson (Anthony). He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Katlyn, Naythan, Dillon, Kielee, Lacee, Alexus, Karlee, Jayden, Waylon, Landon, Zoey, Bryson, Aryan, Swayd, Rayden, Zayden, Bryson, and Luke; along with numerous great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward for generations to come.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, John (J.E.) Edward and Hazel Hughes; his brother, John Edward; and his beloved granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Garza.
Above all else, Charles treasured his family. Although his career as a bull hauler took him down countless highways and kept him away from home for long hours, the love he had for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren remained a special part of his life. His family was his greatest legacy, and the memories they made together will be cherished for generations to come. The miles he traveled may have been many, but nothing could ever measure the love he carried for his family.
The open road was a big part of Charles’s life. From the early mornings to the long nights, from the cattle pens to the endless stretches of Texas highways, he knew the meaning of a hard day’s work. Bull hauling wasn’t for everyone, but it was the life he knew, and one he could be proud of.
While his days behind the wheel may have come to an end, the stories, memories, and miles he traveled will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched along the way.
His final load has been delivered, his last mile has been driven, and his logbook is finally closed. No more early mornings, no more long nights, and no more miles to go. This old bull hauler has made his final trip home.
Rest easy, Charles. Your work here is done, but your memory will ride on forever.
There will be no services for Charles at this time. Family invites everyone to sign the guestbook and/or share a memory online.
