David M. Davila, 61, passed away on April 30, 2018 at Seton Medical Center Main in Austin Texas. Born June 20, 1956 in Dilley Texas, he was the only son of Rudy and Roberta Davila.
David graduated from William B. Travis High School in Austin Texas. After graduating, he was a U.S. Border Patrol Agent. After the Border Patrol, he also worked with the Rollingwood Texas Police department. He owned several businesses.
He was a member of the Optimist Club. He loved to fish, barbecue and cook for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his stories, a great sense of humor and the love for his family.
He is survived by his beloved Thaida Carmona and her son Carlos Chacon, his parents, Rudy and Roberta Davila, his siblings, including his sister Darlene Nichols and husband Henry (Buddy) Nichols, his son, David Davila Jr. and future daughter-in-law Jeannine Scherzer, his daughter, Michelle Fylling, son-in-law, Brant Flylling and grandson Zachary Fylling, his son Phillip Davila and granddaughter, Paisley Davila, his son, Raymond Anthony Davila, his Aunt Beatrice Diaz and husband Macario Diaz, his Uncle Antonio Maldonado and wife Mary Snow Maldonado, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin de Porres in Dripping Springs Texas on June 2, 2018 at 11:30 AM, followed by internment at the Moore Catholic Cemetery at 3:30PM. A reception will be held at the Moore Catholic Church Prue Hall in Moore Texas following burial.
