Domingo M Medina Jr.

Domingo M. Medina Jr., passed away on March 25, 2024, in San Antonio at the age of 81. He was born on September 19, 1942, in Pearsall and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He is preceded in death by his parents Domingo Medina and Celestina Martinez Medina, children, Christopher Medina; baby, Minerva Medina; grandchildren Dominic Riley Cordova, Cleopetra Chacon and Jacob Chacon, son in law, Raymond Cantu and brothers Carlos Medina and Eliseo Medina.

Domingo is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Minerva Munoz Medina; his devoted children Charlene Medina, Sonia Dawn Cantu and Rachel Dee Cordova (Mario Jr.); his siblings Leonor Herrera, Lisia Rendon, Rosario Silva, Mario Medina, Esmeralda Castillo and Andrea Rodriguez; as well as 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to him.

Throughout his life Domingo worked hard as a truck driver for most of his career before retiring in 2008. He was passionate about baseball during his younger years and had the opportunity to showcase his talent at Castillo's ballpark, Angels Ballroom and Chitos Arena in Pearsall. His love for fishing and hunting brought him joy throughout the years. Domingo also found pleasure in watching sports games especially those featuring the Dallas Cowboys or San Antonio Spurs. Additionally, he enjoyed spending time watching shows like Wheel of Fortune along with educating himself through programs on The History Channel.

Family meant everything to Domingo - he always made sure that they knew how much he loved them through both words and actions. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Pallbearers: Michael Cantu, Abraham Cantu, Xavier Marcus Cordova, Mario Andrew Cordova, Benjamin James Chacon and Daniel Cardenas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 2nd from 9am-10:20am at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel-Pearsall followed by a rosary recited at 10:30am. A funeral mass will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 1pm with burial following at the Pearsall Cemetery.

Domingo's memory will live on forever within our hearts - may we find comfort in remembering all the beautiful moments we shared with such an incredible man.
