Elisa Hernandez

Elisa Hernandez, 83 of Pearsall, entered rest on December 15, 2019. She was born on June 14, 1936 in Pearsall to Pedro T. Elizondo and Mariana N. Elizondo. She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Hernandez, parents and siblings, Pedro N. Elizondo Jr. (Maria), Basilia Barrera, Matias Elizondo (Sofia) and David Elizondo.

She is survived by her husband, Rogelio Z. Hernandez of Pearsall; children, Mary Grace Hernandez of Needville, Rogelio E. Hernandez Jr. (Diana) of Richmond, Rolando E. Hernandez of Pearsall and Cynthia Gonzales of Devine. Daughter in law, Yolanda Hernandez; siblings, Lydia E. Pedroza (Greg), Gabiel Elizondo (Nora), Mike Elizondo, Candelaria Trevino (Manuel) and Mary Ann Haywood (Daryl). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include, Manuel Trevino, Matthew Gonzales, Troy Gonzales, Rogelio Hernandez III, EJ Hernandez, James Ramirez, Matias Elizondo Jr; honorary pallbearers, Oscar Perez, Rey Maldonaldo and Robert Maldonado.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel from 3pm-9pm. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 9:30 am. Interment will follow at the Chilipitin Cemetery.
