Elisa Vela

Elisa Vela, 88 of Dilley , entered rest on April 1, 2014 at her home. She was born on August 23, 1925 in Yorktown, Texas to Jose and Genoveva Salinas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Salinas, husband; Antonio Vela, siblings; Isabel Salinas, Reguio Salinas, Jose Salinas and Guadalupe Salinas.

She is survived by her children; Jose C. Vela, Juan Antonio Vela, Elvia Ruiz, Oralia Aranda, Genoveva Perez, Maria Estella Castro and Rosa Belia Vela. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Dilley from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
