Esmeralda Herrera

Esmeralda Herrera, aged 76, passed away on May 5, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Originally from Dilley, she was born to Pablo and Tomasa Maldonado. Esmeralda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfredo Herrera Sr., her parents, and numerous siblings.

She is survived by her children, Alfredo J. Herrera and his wife Maria, David R. Herrera, and Belin Serrata and her husband Mike. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, A.J Herrera and his wife Julia, Mark Serrata, Daniel R. Herrera, Alissa Kingsley and her husband Darrel, and Melissa Arocha. Esmeralda was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels-Dilley from 3pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
