Florentino Torres

Florentino Torres, a beloved figure and a testament to resilience and strength, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on January 25, 1925, in Palau Coahuila, Mexico, Florentino lived a remarkable life that spanned a century, embodying the virtues of dedication, familial love, and unwavering spirit.

Throughout his 100 years, Florentino became a cherished father and a guiding presence in the lives of many. He is survived by his children Vicente Torres and his wife Angie, Juan Torres, Florentino Torres Jr. and his wife Beverly, and Ernesto Torres. He took great joy in watching his family grow, leaving behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom carry a piece of his legacy forward.

Florentino’s life was deeply enriched by the love of his late wife, Valentina Lopez Torres, who stood by his side through many shared memories. He was also preceded in death by his children Jose Torres, Guadalupe Carillo, Bertha Torres Mata, and Eusevio L. Gonzales, whose absence remains felt within the family.

The Torres family invites all who knew Florentino to pay their respects during a visitation on October 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory, located at 203 E. Frio, Pearsall, Texas. A graveside service will be held on October 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Pearsall Cemetery, located at 1675 E Colorado St, Pearsall, Texas, where Florentino will be laid to rest.

Florentino Torres will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and the indelible mark he left on all who were fortunate to know him.
