Gloria D. Perez

Gloria De La Cruz Perez, 80 of Pearsall, entered eternal rest on November 29, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on February 21, 1944, in Pearsall to Gonzalo De La Cruz and Bentura O. Trevino She is preceded in death by her husband, Reynaldo M. Perez, parents and siblings, Brothers Gonzalo De La Cruz Jr, Rodolfo De La Cruz, Sisters: Esther Trevino, Estella Banuelas, Miquela Ureste, Viola De La Cruz, Diana De La Cruz.

She is survived by her children, Alejandro Perez and Mary Vasquez. Her grandchildren, Allana Perez, Elizabeth Manzanares, Kristi Vasquez and Shawn Vasquez. Great-grandchildren: Iliana, Isabella, Ismaela, Samuel, Kristian, Linda, Nakeda, Sabrina, Angilynn and Javian. Brother Alfredo Ovalle and Sisters Mary Ureste, Augustina Benavidez, Olga Lopez, Belen Juarez, Juana Jimenez and Maria Picazo.
She was very involved in her church community at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. She and her late husband often supported the community as Padrinos for numerous sacraments and events. She worked as a seasonal laborer harvesting fruits and vegetables In Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Texas. She worked building a home for her family surrounded by gardens and fields of various crops. She instilled positivity in everyone she met and was always surrounded by her friends and family because of her infectious smiles and laughter.

Gloria enjoyed hobbies like gardening, bingo, dancing, cooking and traveling with family. She was a compassionate, loving, selfless woman who loved and cherished her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother that will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers include Alejandro Perez, Shawn Vasquez, Gilbert Perez, Cruz Ureste, Alberto Delgado and Pablo Manzanares. Honorary Pallbearer, Ricardo Perez Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels, from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Frio County Cemetery.
