Gregorio Mendez Jr.

Gregorio Mendez Jr., born on April 25, 1959, in Dilley, Texas, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 8, 2025, in Pearsall, Texas. He was a man deeply admired for his work ethic and dedication, earning a reputation as a very hardworking individual who approached life with determination and integrity.

Gregorio was the loving father of three children: Lori Mendez Elizondo (John Paul), Greg Mendez III, and Jesse Frausto (Marisa). In addition to his role as a father, he cherished his role as a grandfather to nine grandchildren: Cassie Galvan, Joshua Grout, JP Elizondo, Zeke Elizondo, Deseray Elizondo, A.J. Frausto, Tori Frausto, Jayden Frausto, David Frausto and great grandson Xayvion Ace Trevino. His family brought him immense joy, and he took pride in supporting and nurturing their ambitions.

He is also survived by his brothers, Jesse Mendez and Michael Mendez. He will also be remembered by his partner Martha Cabrera.  

Gregorio has been reunited in eternal rest with his beloved wife, Elva F. Mendez, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his parents, Gregorio Mendez Sr. and Irene Reyna Mendez, as well as his sister, Norma Mendez.

As family and friends remember Gregorio, they celebrate a life marked by hard work, love, and dedication to those closest to him, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished for generations to come.
