Gregorio Goyo Mendez Sr.

Gregorio Mendez Sr. “Goyo”, (83), passed away on November 12, 2021. He died peacefully with his loving children and grandchildren by his side. Gregorio is the son of the late Francisco Mendez and Alejandra Mendez, was born May 25, 1938 in Pearsall, Texas. He went on to marry the love of his life Irene Gutierrez Mendez.

He is survived in memory and in life by his siblings, Juan Quinonez, Francisco Mendez (Adelia), Ascencion Mendez Sr. (Yolanda), Bonifacio Mendez Sr. (Maria), Maria Antonio Torres (Juan), Camilo Mendez (Alma), Pedro Quinonez (Francisca), Natividad Mendez (Modesta), Eleno Quinonez (Francis) and Maria Quinonez (Juan). His children Gregorio Mendez Jr. (Elva), Jesus Mendez (Norma), Norma Mendez and Michael Mendez. His grandchildren Lori Ann Mendez Elizondo (John), Gregorio Mendez III, Jessica Mendez Camargo (Alejandro), Jesse Mendez Jr., Valerie Irene Mendez (John), Estefani Jazlynn Loa, Michelle Marie Mendez, Luke Alaniz, Rico Benavidez and Noah Rodriguez.

Pallbearers: Jessica Mendez Camargo, Luke Alaniz, John Mendez, Gilbert Mendez, JP Elizondo and Noah Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 18, 2021 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a prayer service at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday November 19, 2021 at the Templo Lirio De Los Valles Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Pearsall Catholic Cemetery (westside).
