Isabel Riojas Gonzales

Isabel Riojas Gonzales, "Chebe",  82 of Pearsall, entered rest on February 18, 2021 in Pearsall. She was born on November 7, 1938 in Goldfinch, TX to Onofre Riojas and Ramona Gonzales Riojas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luciano Gonzales Sr., parents; siblings, Luisa Villanueva, Margarita Martinez and Alejandro Riojas; grandchildren, Benny Chavera and Brianna Marie Gonzales.

Isabel was a beautiful, loving, caring, strong- willed woman. Her laugh would brighten any room. She loved to be outside attending to her plants for hours. Love and joy radiated from her. Her children and grandchildren were her world. Her family was everything to her and she could always count on them for support. The memories are endless and the love from her will be felt for many lifetimes. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her children, Luciano R. Gonzales Jr. (Elisa), Irene Gonzales Trevino (Antonio), Margie R. Gonzales, Elizar R. Gonzales (Novela), John R. Gonzales (Veronica); siblings, Sulema Alaniz (Antonio), Modesta Perez (Manuel), Janie Trevino (Trinidad), Mercedes Riojas (Vicenta), Santos Gonzales (Roberto+), Eloisa Green, Maria Teresa Jenkins, Estela Gauna (Daniel) and Onofre Riojas Jr. (Angel). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include, Luciano Gonzales III, Damian Santos Jr., Thomas Santos, Grace Chavera, Ely Gonzales Jr., Kevin Gonzales, Kaminski Gonzales and Ethen J. Gonzales.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels starting at 10am, a rosary will be recited at 11:30am. Funeral mass will follow at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1pm with interment to the Frio County Cemetery.
