Jesus Angel Garcia, born on January 6, 1982, in Pearsall, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Pearsall. He will be remembered as a loving Father, Husband, Protector, and taught his family to challenge everything & taught them to be confident, strong, proud and especially fearless. He was also a dedicated personal trainer and coach, whose impact changed many people’s lives. Angel was particularly passionate about teaching MMA fighting, empowering local youth & adults to develop discipline, strength, confidence and more importantly respect.
A genuine and kind-hearted individual, Angel had an innate ability to connect with others. He cherished his role as a father, big brother, friend and was a guiding figure to the youth & adults he coached, often going above and beyond to support them both in sports and in their personal lives. His legacy will be carried forward by his children: Angel Garcia, Ashley Garcia, Amanda Garcia, Allison Garcia, and Alexander Garcia, who were the most cherished children of his life.
Angel is survived by his loving wife, Veronica Lopez Garcia, who stood by him throughout their life’s journey together. His family remains steadfast through the loss, including his mother, Sylvia Valdez, and siblings, Veronica Valdez, Abel Garcia (Cerna), Jacob Garcia (Vanessa) and Tony. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will always treasure the memories shared with their beloved Uncle.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Velasquez Garcia, his grandmother, Maria Lopez Valdez, and his aunt, Soveida Guajardo. Each of these family members played a significant role in shaping the man he became.
In this moment of quiet remembrance, we pay tribute to Jesus Angel Garcia for his compassion, his devotion to his family, and his unwavering service to the community he so generously mentored. His spirit & legacy will forever live on through the lives he shaped and nurtured.
The family will honor Angel's memory through a series of services at Belen Baptist Church in Dilley, Texas. A visitation will be held on January 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. He will be laid to rest at Dilley Cemetery with burial commencing at 11:45 AM.
