John Paul Cortez

John Paul Cortez, 31, of Pearsall, died September 26, 2019 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born March 26, 1988 in San Antonio TX, the son of Marisol Cortez and Juan A. Rodriguez.

J.P is survived by his parents Juan A. Rodriguez and Marisol Cortez; his sister Krystal Ortegon and Brother Benjamin Palacios. He also leaves his maternal grandparent, Jose M. Cortez and his paternal grandparents, Joe Rodriguez and Dolores Sosa. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Giovanna Palacios, his children Jordan Martinez Cortez 12yrs, Rylan Canales Cortez 7yrs, Gianna Cortez 3yrs and Raeli Anna Palacios 2 months and his close friends and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1pm. Interment will follow at the Pearsall Cemetery..
