Jose C. Torres, born June 27, 1945, in Pearsall, peacefully departed this life on June 24, 2026, in his hometown of Pearsall. Jose’s journey of eighty years was marked by deep connections with family and friends, dedication to his loved ones, and a life lived true to his roots.

Jose was the beloved son of the late Serapio Torres and Trinidad Carrizales Torres. He was preceded in death by his sister Olivia C. Torres, his brother Juan C. Torres, and his sister Carolina Torres. His surviving sister, Oralia M. Torres, continues to carry forward the legacy of their shared upbringing, memories, and values.

 He is survived by his devoted daughter, Missy Torres (Daniel Menchaca), and his cherished son, Joe Chavera (Sara Gonzales). The joy of his life extended to his grandchildren: Donovan Torres (Stephanie), Jeremiah Torres, Olivia Hernandez, Carolina Torres, Nadalie Garcia, Clarissa Torres, Montana Torres, Jazyln Elizondo, and Robert Elizondo. Step children whom he helped raise included, Melody Garcia, Ruben Garcia and Rodney Garcia. His legacy further endures in his beloved great-grandchildren, Amara, Layla, and Athena, whose lives are touched by his presence and wisdom.
