He was a kind and caring person, known for his bear hugs.
Joe grew up in a migrant worker family, tending and harvesting seasonal crops along the way. The family worked, played and suffered together. The living, working, and treatment conditions were harsh, but they created a familial bond that time, distance nor life's circumstances will never break. He was a hard worker - the kind you can no longer find today. He spoke proudly of his years working the construction industry. Joe played baseball with his dad, brothers and uncles, loved fishing and hunting with family and friends. He loved the outdoors, often going for a ride in the countryside with his wife and stopping for a snack on a picnic table at a roadside rest area along the way. He loved listening to the music of his growing up years and especially listening to Rey and Fernando playing and singing them. Joe was a devout christian and strived to live a Christian life. Chepe is resting in peace now with our previously departed family. We will be together again and until then we know you will be enjoying the fruits of your garden in heaven.
