Jose Elias Sanchez

On Monday, September 2, 2019, Jose Elias Sanchez, loving husband, son and brother, passed away at the age of 61 following a 2 year battle with cancer.

Elias was born on October 8, 1957 in Dilley to Manuel Sanchez and Jesusa Gonzalez Sanchez. On July 20, 2017 he married Alicia Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, son, Jose Elias Sanchez II of Dallas, parents; siblings, Ed Sanchez of Dilley and Cindy Villesca (Bert) of Alice; step children, Claudia Bernardo, Dianna Robles, Amanda Andrus and Laura Morin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, step grandchildren and friends.

Elias was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. He was a joy to be around and will be remembered for his giving heart and infectious positive attitude. He was an avid music lover and a collector of Beatles memorabilia. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys who never missed a game and always looked forward to tailgating with his family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel-Dilley from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
