Jose Luis Velasquez, 66 of Pearsall, entered rest on February 19, 2020 in San Antonio. He was born on January 9, 1954 in Devine, to Jesus Velasquez and Alberta Garcia Velasquez. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary Padilla, Angel Velasquez and Juan Velasquez.

He is survived by his children, Jose Luis Velasquez Jr and Christina Velasquez. Brothers and sisters:  Rodolfo Velasquez, Jesus Velasquez, Henry Velasquez, Geneva Hartweck, Julia Elizondo and Manuela Velasquez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 12pm. Interment will follow at the VFW Cemetery.
