Josefina Lafuente Nieto

Josefina Lafuente Nieto, aged 96, of Pearsall, passed away on May 21, 2025. She was born on June 29, 1928, to her loving parents, Pedro LaFuente and Josefina Ledesma LaFuente. Josefina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luis De La Cruz Nieto, daughter, Rosario Nieto, her parents, numerous siblings, and her son-in-laws, Mario Siller and Paul Urrutia.

She is survived by her children, Hector L. Nieto (Estella) of McAllen, Angie N. Siller of Pearsall, Josefina N. Harlan of Maryland, Jose Luis Nieto of Pearsall, Roberto L. Nieto of San Marcos, Armando L. Nieto (Ana) of New Braunfels, Alfonso L. Nieto (Victoria) of California, Roland L. Nieto (Annette) of Pearsall, Arnold L. Nieto of California, Paul L. Nieto (Rachel) of Temple, and Julia N. Urrutia of Martindale. Josefina also leaves behind 36 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren, numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Pallbearers include Christopher Urrutia, Noah Urrutia, Gabriel Urrutia, Mario Siller Jr., Mikey Siller, Brevan Nieto, Hector Nieto Jr., Anthony Nieto, Robert Nieto Jr., Joey Nieto, Alfonso Nieto and Richard Yokoi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church starting at 9AM. A rosary will be recited at 9:30AM with a funeral mass celebration at 10:30AM. Interment will follow to the Frio County Cemetery.
