As an Army veteran, Juan proudly served his country, embodying the values of duty and honor that defined his character. His military service was a testament to his commitment to the nation, and it left an indelible mark on his life, shaping him into a person who valued integrity and resilience.
Juan is survived by his devoted wife, Melinda Frausto, whose love and support were the cornerstones of their life together. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children: Joe Elizondo, and Nora Elizondo (Mario) and Roy Richardson (Dusty). Juan cherished his role as a father and took great joy in his relationships with his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom he shared countless memories, laughter, and lessons. He is also survived by his sister, Amelia Lopez.
Juan was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Elizondo. Johnny's memory lived in Juan's heart, and he often shared stories of the joy Johnny brought to the family, ensuring that his son's spirit remained a cherished part of their lives.
