Juanita M. Alvarez

Juanita M. Alvarez, 89 of Dilley, entered rest on July 14, 2018 in Cotulla. She was born on August 21, 1928 in Dilley to Martin Mata and Dionicia Mendoza Mata. She is preceded in death by her husband, Florentino Alvarez Sr., son, Florentino Alvarez Jr., parents, step mother. Paula Mata and brothers, Ignacio Mata and Matias Mata.

She is survived by her children, Rudy Alvarez and wife Juanita of Dilley, Rolando "Chito" Alvarez and wife Elta of Houston, Rogelio Alvarez and wife Maria of Joshua, Rosemary Molina and husband Joe of San Antonio, Renelle Ramirez and husband Abel and Rene Alvarez and wife Nora of Dilley; sister, Julia Flores of Cotulla; brother, Willie Mata of San Antonio. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.

Pallbearers include, Martin Alvarez, Tino Alvarez, Elias Alvarez, Rolando Alvarez Jr., Ruben Alvarez, Noel Alvarez, Jose Fernando Molina, Rene Alvarez Jr. and Alex Alvarez.
