Juanita M. Lopez

Juanita M. Lopez 74, of Dilley went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2023, in San Antonio. She was born on July 24, 1948, to Jose Angel Moreno and Herminia Garcia Moreno. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Angel Jose Moreno and Maria M. Ochoa and late husband Roman V. Lopez Jr.

Juanita worked as a Teacher’s Aide for Dilley ISD for over 35 years.

She survived by her husband, Alex Castor; children, Roman Lopez III (Terrie) of Pleasanton, and Ruben Lopez (Luisana) of Uvalde. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alexandrea Lopez, Roman J. Lopez, Tony A. Lopez, Ruben Lopez Jr., and Ariel Lopez. Brother, Baldemar G. Moreno (Roseanna) of Fort Worth, sister Yolanda M. Rodriguez of Grand Prairie, sister-in-laws, Angie Moreno, and Margot Moreno.

Pallbearers include Alexis Moreno, Angel Moreno, Joey Moreno, Joel Moreno, Raul Ochoa, Abel Rodriguez, and Fernando Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels Dilley, from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 6, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
