Leonarda V. Martinez

Leonarda V. Martinez, 80 of Dilley, entered rest on January 19, 2022. She was born on May 20, 1941 in Pearsall to Raul Varela and Guadalupe Peralta. She is preceded in death by her sons, Raymond Martinez (Ercilia Martinez), Sonny Martinez and Bobby Martinez.

She is survived by her children, Richard Martinez (Suzanne) of Giddings, Erlinda Martinez Garcia (Servando) of Giddings, Elena Castor (Alberto) of Giddings, Julian Martinez Jr. (Maria) of Giddings and Elisa Rodriguez (Orlando) of Dilley; sister, Maria Bonilla of Crystal City. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers: Raymond Martinez Jr., Adan Martinez, John Anthony Martinez, Orlando Rodriguez Jr., Alex Martinez, Philip Martinez, Sergio Martinez and John Cantu.

Visitation will be held on Sunday January 23, 2022 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel in Dilley, Texas from 3pm-9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. Funeral service will be on Monday January 24 ,2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Dilley at 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
