Luis R. Martinez

Luis Robles Martinez, 88 of Pearsall Texas was granted his angel wings on June 22, 2012. His final days were spent surrounded by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grand children. Luis was born on June 21, 1924 to the late Miguel and Luisa Martinez. He was preceded in death by his son Lazaro Ramon Martinez.
Luis married Adelina Cantu on April 16, 1948 together they raised 9 children. Luis worked very hard as a farmer to provide for his family. His hobbies and interest included ranching, fishing, hunting, and he was especially passionate for his cattle or “ vaquitas” as he would call them.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Adelina Martinez, daughters, Lucia Gonzales, Adelita Salinas, Adelaida Briseno, Luisa Hernandez and Lupe Estrada, sons, Geronimo Martinez, Jude Angel Martinez, and Trinidad Martinez, 25 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and several siblings . He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; he leaves a legacy of 5 generations. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Rosary was held on Sunday June 24th, 2012 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel, 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday June 25th, 2012 at Immculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 9am. Interment will follow at the Frio County Cemetery.
