Macaria Montes

Macaria Montes, 98 of Pearsall, entered rest on March 02, 2025. She was born on March 10, 1926 to Nicanora Perez Montes and Juan Montes . She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janie M. Hinojosa; sisters, Zeferina Montes, Paula Martinez and brother Miguel Montes.

Macaria shone with an extraordinary love and kindness. She possessed a deep and genuine compassion, expressed through her unwavering dedication to prayer. Wherever she went, she sought opportunities to lift others up, interceding on their behalf with a heart full of empathy. She was truly a special person, one who embraced her calling to love and pray for those around her, and her absence will undoubtedly leave a void in the lives of many. She will be greatly missed, not just for what she did, but for the loving spirit she embodied.

She is survived by her children, Maria Luisa Ibarra and Lourdes Deleon (David). She is also survived by 4 generations of grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life in honor of Macaria will be held on March 8, 2025 at 2pm at Mission De Fe in Derby, Tx.

Burial on Monday March 10 at 10 am at the Frio county cemetery.
