Marcelino H. Leal, 78 of Pearsall, was born on January 14, 1948, in Pearsall and entered rest on September 6, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He is remembered with love by his family and all who shared in his life. Marcelino was preceded in death by his wife, Elsa Moreno Leal; his son, Efrain Leal Sr.; his grandson, Dennis Marcelino Leal; his father, Macario Leal; his mother, Macaria Hernandez Leal; and his brothers, Reyes Leal Sr. and Rojelio Leal Sr.

He leaves behind a devoted family who will continue to cherish his memory. His children include Cynthia Martinez and husband Antonio, Homer Leal and wife Rhonda,  Elizabeth Cabrera and husband David. Marcelino is further survived by his daughter in law, Sandy Leal,  sisters, Suzie Homony and husband George and Carmen Ortiz and Maria Santa Cruz and husband Jose. He will also be lovingly remembered by his 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and by the many relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his presence.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation with family on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 203 E. Frio, Pearsall, Texas 78061. A rosary will be recited there from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mass will follow from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 422 W Brazos St, Pearsall, Texas 78061. Services will conclude after Mass.

Pallbearers include, Brian Cabrera, Zaine Leal, Jeffery Leal, Zachery Leal, Christopher Moreno, Julian Martinez, Antonio Tomas Martinez Jr., Efrain Leal Jr., Erik Cabrera. Honorary pallbearers include, Efrain Leal III and Mason Tanner.
