Margarita Frausto Bustamante passed away on October 16, 2026, in San Antonio at the age of 84. She was born on June 23, 1942. Her passing marks the loss of a beloved member of a large family circle and a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her.

Margarita will be remembered with love by her surviving siblings: Terry Trevino, Alex Frausto Sr. and his wife Mary, Rosa Rodriguez and her husband Ernesto Sr., Belen Banda and her husband Antonio Sr., Roger Frausto and his wife Vicky and Evon Frausto. She is also lovingly remembered by her best friend and neighbor, Richard Cruz and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Surrounded by siblings, extended family, and close friends, Margarita’s memory will continue to be held dear by all who shared in her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Santiago Frausto, and her mother, Carmen V. Frausto. She was also preceded in death by her brother Raul Frausto and her sisters Betsy Silguero, Sylvia Martinez, Elva Mendez, and Connie Rodriguez. Their memories remained an enduring part of the family story that Margarita carried with her throughout her life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 203 E. Frio, Pearsall, TX 78061. A rosary will be recited that evening from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the same location.

A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 422 W Brazos St, Pearsall, TX 78061. Burial will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Pearsall Catholic Cemetery Westside, Radio Road, Pearsall, TX 78061. There will be no visitation on Friday morning.
