Maria Cookie Carrizales

Maria "Cookie" Nieto Carrizales, 64 of Pearsall entered rest on December 28, 2020. She was born on July 4, 1956 in Pearsall to Toribio DeLaCruz Nieto and Lilia Vidales Nieto. She is preceded in death by her parents, in laws, Juan and Martina Carrizales and sister in law, Jo Beth Nieto.

Cookie was a loving and caring, wife, mother and grandmother. She was the light of our lives. She touched so many people's lives with her kindness and her big sweet heart. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Luis Carrizales; children, Louie Carrizales, Lewis James Carrizales and Corey Louis Carrizales (Abbie); siblings, Alamar Verastiqui (Richard), Elena Martinez (Rey), Ted Nieto (Ana), Letty Cervantes (Mario) and Greg Nieto; brother in laws, Hector Guevara (Irene) and Juan Carrizales Jr. (Dory). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Saiah, Amorese and Jace as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 31. 2020 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the VFW Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 we are asking everyone to continue to follow CDC guidelines as well as local mandates. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory.
