Maria Cuevas

Maria Cuevas 98, of Pearsall, entered rest on January 21, 2023. She was born on November 7, 1924, in Goldfinch, Texas to Juan Elizondo Jr. and Delfina Garcia Elizondo. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Senovio Cuevas, son, Rolando Cuevas Sr.; Siblings, Julia Medrano, Apolonia Briseno, Jesus "Chuey" Elizondo Sr., Timoteo Elizondo, Elias Elizondo and Jose Elizondo; daughter in law, Rosario M. Cuevas and grandson, James Cuevas.

She is survived by her children, Luis Cuevas (Cindy) of Oklahoma, Ricardo Cuevas of Pearsall and Maria Olga Viesca (Margarito Jr.) of Pearsall, siblings, Johnny Elizondo, Benito Elizondo Sr. and Amelia Ramirez. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 generations of grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Timmy Elizondo, Patrick Cuevas, Rodney Cuevas, Joshua Senovio Cuevas, Paul Myers and Gregory Roland Cuevas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10am. Interment to follow to Chilipitin Cemetery.
