Maria D. Guajardo

Maria D. Guajardo, 94, entered rest peacefully at her home on March 22, 2020 in Divot. She was born on September 25, 1925 in Derby, TX to Matilde Ortiz De Anda and Inocensia Orosco De Anda. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Guajardo Sr, parents, daughter, Irene Guajardo Rodriguez; sister, Carolina D. Rivas; grandson, Ricky Eguia; grand daughter Samantha Storgion; great great grand daughter, Erica Rodriguez.

Maria Guajardo lived in Dilley her whole life where she raised all of her children. She was married to Francisco Guajardo for 64 years. She was a devoted catholic and member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Las Carmalitas. Maria worked as a provider as well as at the nursing home and the Dilley Hospital.

We will cherish every garment, quilt, and crocheting she proudly hand made and handed down to all her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her children, Francisco (Pancho) Guajardo Jr., Magdalena (Maggie) Eguia, Yolanda (Yole) G. Magana, Alberto (Beto) Guajardo, Juan De Anda, Agnes G. Storgion, Alfredo (Fred) Guajardo, Lucia (Lucy) G. Gulick; siblings, Lupe De Anda Hernandez, Magarita De Anda Rodriguez and Jose Herculano (Cano) De Anda. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 16 great, great, grandchildren and 6 great, great, great grandchildren.

Honorable Pallbearers include, Edwardo (Eddie) Rodriguez, Augstine (Ponky) Rodriguez II, Damian Rodriguez, Francisco (Frank) Guajardo III, Robert Micahel Demaree and Louis Storgion.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
