Maria Juanita Muriel

Maria Juanita Muriel, of Pearsall originally of Cotulla, passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on December 6, 1950, in Cotulla.

Maria will be remembered with love by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Marisol Rodriguez, Mike Castro, and Johnny Muriel and 14 grandchildren who carry forward her memory and the love of family she held so dearly. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Gloria Muriel, Diana Muriel, Cindy Muriel, Mary Muriel and Libby Muriel, who remain among those mourning her passing and honoring her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fernando Muriel, and her mother, Juantia Perez Muriel. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Fernando Muriel, Celestino Muriel, Raul Muriel, Juan Muriel, and Pedro Muriel, and by her sister, Anita Muriel.

Maria’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the many moments they shared with her throughout her life. Those who knew her will remember her with affection and gratitude, and her presence will be deeply missed.
