Maria Alicia Stakes

Maria Alicia Stakes, 93 of Dilley, entered rest on January 8, 2023 in Pearsall, Tx. She was born on October 13, 1929, in Moore, Texas to Manuel Garza Longoria and Mary Duncan Longoria. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arnulfo C. Stakes; brother, Manuel Longoria and sister, Juanita Gonzales.

She is survived by her children, Robert Stakes (Beth), Karen Asuncion (Jay), Debra Schmidt, John Stakes (Neida); brother, Edward Longoria (Maureen). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 13, 2023 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel Dilley starting at 8am with a rosary to be recited at 9am. Funeral mass will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10am with interment at the Dilley Cemetery.
