Maria Ester Villanueva

Maria Ester "Tella" Villanueva, 72 of Dilley,entered to rest on March 25, 2019 at her home.She was born on October 26, 1946 in Stockton, California to Ramon and Maria Castillo Lopez. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Delmiro Villanueva Sr.; daughter, Irmalinda Villanueva; parents and granddaughters, Chantel Marie Villanueva and Natasha Jo Villanueva.

She is survived by her children, Maria Velma Benavidez, Joe Delmiro Villanueva Jr. and wife Noemi and Homero Villanueva and wife Erika; siblings, Esperanza Gonzalez, Heliverto Lopez, Juanita Mata, Viola Alcorta, Diana Lopez and Sylvia Lynch. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include, Matthew Ryan Villanueva, Joe Dustin Villanueva, Kenneth R. Diaz, Joseph Luna, Scott Ortiz, Lupe Navarro, Eric Reyna and Panchito Cano.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels-Dilley from 2pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
