Mario "Chovie" Martinez Jr.

Mario F. "Chovie" Martinez Jr., 60 of Dilley, entered rest on October 2, 2022, in San Antonio, Tx. He was born on December 2, 1961 in Pearsall, TX to Mario A. Martinez Sr. and Lucia Flores Martinez. He is preceded in death by his father, Mario A. Martinez Sr. and grandparents, Victor R. Flores and Elvira G. Flores.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Rodriguez Martinez; children, Mark Luis Rodriguez and Mavis Marie Martinez; mother, Lucia Flores Martinez; sisters, Elvia Obregon, Sylvia Garcia and Melva Medrano; brothers, Hector "P.T." Martinez, Jose Luis "Louie" Martinez and uncles but loved as brothers, Larry Flores, Juan Flores, Victor Flores, Ruben Flores and Jose "Pepe" Flores. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers: Rodrigo Cruz, Ricado Cerna, Michael Diaz, Homer "Bim" Obregon Jr., Jose Manuel Garcia Jr., Maximino Montes, Jose Luis "Louie" Martinez and Salvador Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 6, 2022, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel-Dilley from 6pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday October 7, 2022, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.
