Mark Anthony Diaz

Mark Anthony Diaz , 53 of Dilley Texas left this earth on 25 April 2017 to be with his Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born on July 29 1963 in Dilley Texas. He attended Dilley schools and worked for the Valley Telephone Company until his retirement in 2014.

Mark will be remembered for his humor and for his folklore stories about Dilley always bringing laughter to the party. He was someone who never judged anyone. He was just as likely to strike up a conversation with a total stranger in an elevator, as he would a close acquaintance He never cared how you dressed, how much money you made or what you looked like, he had no pretenses and treated everyone as a friend.  If you were wearing anything Aggie, you were his friend forever.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents Frank Sr. and Lilia Diaz and brother Leonard Frank Diaz.

He is survived by his sister Diana and husband Joe Killough of Helotes Texas, sister Cynthia Ann and husband Brian Compton of Kerrville, brother Frank Jr and wife Manuela Diaz of Leander Texas and brother Michael Diaz of league City Texas as well as 2 nephews and 3 nieces.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel-Dilley from 4pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the Dilley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donation to the St Joseph Catholic Church.
