Martin Garcia, born on May 6, 1962, joined our Lord on October 27, 2024. Martin, who was affectionately known by his loved ones as Marty, was preceded in death by his parents, Errigardo Garcia and Candelaria Rodriguez Garcia, as well as his brothers, Errigardo “Pachito” Garcia Jr. and Juan Adan Garcia.
Marty was a graduating member of Dilley High School Class of ’80. He worked numerous jobs throughout his career and was known to offer a helping hand wherever it was needed. Not only did he have a love for sports, but a passion for creating music. During his lifetime he was the lead member of a band named “Campo Santos”. Marty, a daring and free-spirited person by nature, never met a stranger and could talk to anyone regardless of the topic.
Marty is survived by his beloved daughter, Briana Shae Garcia, and his siblings Lionel Garcia and spouse Selma, Irma Gonzales, and Noelda Garcia. He is also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews. It was known by all, without a doubt, the smile Marty could bring to those around him. As the sun sets on his final season, not only will he be mourned by many, but he will continue to be loved, most of all by his daughter, Briana. Marty’s passing “left a heartache too heavy to weigh and pain only time can heal, but the love that will forever remain leaves memories that can never be taken.”
A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels - Dilley from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. Services will conclude at the chapel.
