Melissa Escobar

Melissa Escobar 36, of Pearsall TX. entered rest on February 13, 2022. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 29, 1985 to Segundo Escobar Jr. and Dolores E. Ortiz. She is preceded in death by her daughter Cataleia Dolores Escobar; Maternal grandparents Timoteo and Ernestina Elizondo; Paternal Grandparent Margarita Escobar.

She survived by her parents; Segundo Escobar Jr. (Isabel) of Pearsall Tx, Dolores E. Ortiz of San Antonio, Tx. Sisters; Marisa, Monica, Margie all of San Antonio Tx; Brothers Timmy Ray Escobar of Charlotte Tx, Segundo (Sky) Escobar of Pearsall Tx, and Ramiro Escobar of San Antonio Tx. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, 6 nieces and 4 nephews.

Pallbearers: Timmy Elizondo, Joe Elizondo, John Paul Elizondo, Timmy Ray Elizondo, Carlos Rivera, and Alonzo Romo.

Melissa was loved and cared for by many people, every time we saw her, she always had the biggest smile on her face. What happened to her has left us all really devastated.  DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is a major problem here in Pearsall and surrounding areas. The person who is abusing always covers their tracks because others believe what they say, that they are not violent people, but once you have done this and gotten no help, you will fall back into your ways. Melissa trusted him to get into his car and at the end it cost her, her life...We will always remember and love her.

She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family members.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Pearsall from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 10 am and held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Chilipitin Cemetery.
