Melva Ann Medrano

Melva Ann Medrano, aged 60, of Dilley, passed away on October 30, 2024. She was born on October 13, 1964, to Mario Martinez Sr. and Lucia Flores Martinez. Melva was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Saul Benavidez, and her loving children, Stefanie Marie Allaire and her husband Shane, Steven Craig Medrano Jr. and his partner Roxan, and Marcus Greg Medrano. Mother, Lucia F. Martinez.  Melva was a cherished grandmother to Ryan Ochoa, Rena Ochoa, Madison Medrano, Ayva Medrano, Jaydlynn Medrano, and Steele Allaire.

Melva is also survived by her siblings, Jose Luis 'Louie' Martinez, Elvia Obregon, Sylvia Garcia, and Hector 'P.T' Martinez. She was preceded in death by her father, Mario Martinez Sr., and her brother, Mario 'Chovie' Martinez Jr.

Melva's memory will be carried on by her family and friends, who will remember her warmth and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels-Dilley from 5pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow to the Dilley Cemetery.
