Mercedes Cruz

Mercedes Cruz, 86 of Dilley passed away on May 3rd, 2013. She was born on March 3rd, 1928 to Jose Cruz and Crescencia Aguilera Cruz. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Cruz, parents; Jose and Crescencia Cruz, brothers; Francisco and Jesus Cruz, sister; Maria Bernal and grandchild; Marcos Cruz. She is survived by her children; Raul Cruz and wife Isabel of Michigan, Luz Reyes and husband Juan, Oralia Reyes and husband Feliz, Patricia Sanchez and husband Julian all of Dilley. Brothers and sisters: Daniel Cruz of Carrizo Springs, Josefa Gonzales of Cotulla, Alejandra Rios of Lytle and Elvira Bernal of Cotulla. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary was held on Tuesday, May 7th, 2013 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Dilley, 7pm. Funeral mass was held on Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 10:30am. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.
