Ofelia Rangel Arellano, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, in Pearsall, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 6, 1929, in Moore, Texas, Ofelia lived a life full of faith, love, and an unwavering bond with her family that will echo through the generations.

Ofelia was warmly known for her kind heart and generous spirit. As a devoted mother, she lovingly raised her children: Oralia Pena, Anestacio Arellano (Nelda), Odelia Castro (Eddie), Louisa Martinez, Juan Arellano (Patty), Joe Arellano, and Lydia Arellano. Her legacy continues through her profound influence on her family, which includes 22 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit and teachings.

She was predeceased by her husband, Francisco M. Arellano, who was her partner in life and love. Their bond was a testament to devotion, woven through the years by shared hopes and laughter. Ofelia also joins her parents, Demetrio Rangel and Damascia Rangel, in eternal rest. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Ismael and Carlos Rangel, son-in-law, Hector Pena, and her dear great-grandson, Triece Vera.

The family invites you to honor Ofelia's life during the following services: a viewing at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapel and Crematory on January 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a  Rosary service at 7:00 PM. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on January 23, 2026, at  9AM, with her interment taking place at Moore Catholic Cemetery following the mass at  10:30AM.

Ofelia Arellano’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, faith, and resilience. Her nurturing presence will be profoundly missed but will always remain a source of inspiration and solace to her family and friends as they carry forth her legacy of love.
