Patricio Bernal
September 24, 1942 - January 04, 2025
A man of unwavering integrity and deep family values, peacefully passed away, leaving a legacy of dedication and service. He was a beloved member of his town and community, where he served with distinction in law enforcement for 20 years. Pat's commitment to public service continued as he represented Precinct One as a constable for 16 years.
His devotion to his faith was evident through his roles as an usher and altar server at his church.
Pat also had a passion for baseball, a game he loved dearly. He only had 3 grandchildren and they were 3 boys. He passed on his passion for baseball to his grandsons, instilling in them a love for the game that they will endure for generations. His contributions and love for his community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. He was an exceptional dad and grandfather who loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply and unconditionally.
He leaves behind to cherish a lifetime of memories, two loving children: Patrick Bernal III and Elsa Cruz (Eddie); 3 grandchildren: Aaron Bernal (Marissa), Chris Cruz, and Christian Cruz (Mia); as well as 10 great grandchildren: Aliana, Asher, Meaghan, Jaclynn, Emaleigh, Annabelle, Nicholas, Cameron, Cayson, and Cannon—he found immense joy in watching their lives unfold and he enjoyed having them around.
Patricio is survived by siblings Elida Carrizales, Isaura Sanchez, Odelia Villarreal, Rosario Reyna, Victor Bernal, and Lupe Lezak—all part of a close-knit family that came together, relishing each other's company, sharing laughter, and creating cherished memories. They spent hours reminiscing, telling stories, and celebrating the bonds that held them close.
He is preceded in death by Vicenta Guajardo Bernal—the love of his life-and siblings Tere Pruitt Rolando Bernal along with great-grandchildren Cayden Cruz and Ceyanna Cruz whose absence will be felt deeply within the hearts of all who knew them.
