Raquel Eguia Mata

Raquel Eguia Mata, 82 of Uvalde formally of Dilley, passed away on September 17, 2013. She was born on December 22, 1930 in Dilley to Guadalupe Eguia and Teresa Herrera Eguia. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother; Hector Eguia of Dilley.

She is survived by her children; Joel Mata and wife Elsa of Dilley, Amanda Hadley of Uvalde and Daena Borjas of San Antonio. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren,6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 21, 2013,10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment followed at the Dilley Cemetery.
